Football App Privacy and Cookie Policy

ATW Ltd, trading as ATW Digital

Last updated: 24 August 2026

1. Who we are

This privacy and cookie policy applies to the Football App demonstration operated by ATW Ltd, trading as ATW Digital (referred to as “ATW Digital”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

For the personal information described in this policy, ATW Digital is the data controller.

If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise your data-protection rights, contact us at andywilson@atwdigital.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the app and which optional features you use, we may collect:

technical information, such as device type, operating system, browser, IP address and approximate location derived from an IP address;

information about use of the app, such as pages viewed, interactions, engagement, referring source and the date and time of a visit;

your cookie and consent preferences;

your name, email address and other account details if you choose to create an account;

information you voluntarily provide through a form or when contacting us; and

a device or notification identifier if you choose to receive push notifications.

We do not use the Football App demonstration to collect payment-card details. Links to ticketing, shopping, social-media and other third-party services take you to services operated by those third parties.

3. How we collect information

We collect information:

automatically when you access and use the app;

through cookies and similar technologies, where you have provided any consent that is required;

when you create an account or change your account details, if this feature is available;

when you enable push notifications; and

when you submit information through a form or contact us.

We may also receive technical and usage information through service providers that help us operate and analyse the app, including GoodBarber, Google Analytics and Google Firebase.

4. How we use information

We use information where necessary to:

provide, operate and secure the app;

deliver features you request, including account and notification features where enabled;

understand how the app is used;

monitor performance and improve the app’s content, design and functionality;

respond to enquiries;

prevent misuse and investigate technical or security problems; and

comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use information collected through this demonstration to send third-party marketing or to create targeted advertising profiles.

5. Our lawful bases

Our lawful basis depends on the particular use of the information:

Consent: for non-essential analytics cookies and optional notifications where consent is required. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Legitimate interests: for operating, securing, monitoring and improving the app, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Contract: where processing is necessary to provide a feature or service you have requested.

Legal obligation: where we must process information to comply with the law.

6. Cookies and analytics

Cookies and similar technologies are small files or identifiers placed on or accessed from your device. The app may use:

Strictly necessary technologies, which are required for the app to operate, maintain security and remember privacy choices. These cannot always be disabled through the app.

Internal statistics, provided through GoodBarber, which help us understand general use of the app.

Google Analytics, which helps us understand visits, traffic sources, page views and engagement so that we can improve the app.

Google Analytics is not enabled for a visitor unless the visitor gives the required consent through the app’s cookie controls. You can accept or refuse optional analytics and can change your choice through the cookie settings. You can also control or delete cookies using your browser settings, although disabling necessary cookies may affect app functionality.

Information about how Google uses information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

7. Push notifications

If you enable push notifications, the app and its service providers may process a device or notification identifier to deliver those notifications. You can disable notifications at any time through your device or browser settings.

8. Service providers and recipients

We use service providers to operate and support the app. These may include:

GoodBarber, for app hosting, delivery, functionality and internal usage statistics;

Google Analytics, for analytics where you have consented; and

Google Firebase, for technical app services such as hosting, data storage, authentication or app functionality where enabled.

These providers process information on our behalf or under their own privacy terms, as applicable. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or security, or in connection with a business reorganisation.

We do not share app-user information with sponsors merely because a sponsor appears in the app.

9. International transfers

Some providers may process information in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or other countries. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections, where the law requires one.

10. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal, accounting or security requirements.

Where the GoodBarber anonymisation setting applies, relevant analytics cookies are retained for up to six months. Retention within Google Analytics and other services is controlled through the applicable service settings. Account information is normally retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Enquiry information is retained only for as long as needed to answer and administer the enquiry.

Information may be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required.

11. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

12. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

ask for a copy of your personal information;

ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

ask us to delete your information;

ask us to restrict how information is used;

object to certain uses of information;

receive certain information in a portable format;

withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal; and

complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. To make a request, email andywilson@atwdigital.co.uk. We will normally respond within one month.

13. Children

The app contains general football-club content that may be viewed by people of different ages. We do not knowingly use the Football App demonstration to collect personal information directly from children for marketing purposes. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us at andywilson@atwdigital.co.uk.

14. External websites and services

The app may link to websites and services operated by football clubs, ticket providers, shops, social-media platforms, video providers, sponsors and other organisations. Those organisations are responsible for their own privacy practices. You should review their privacy information when leaving the app.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, its providers or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published within or linked from the app, with the updated date shown at the top.
